Privacy Notice

1. Who we are
Clarity Compass is operated by Advacap Technologies, LLC ("Advacap", "we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. This notice explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have.
2. What we collect
- Identity details — the first name and email address you enter when starting or joining an assessment.
- Assessment content — your ratings on the eighteen questions and your written reflections.
- Session data — the session code linking two partners and timestamps of activity.
- Usage and technical data — basic device, browser, and IP-address information collected automatically for security and operation of the service.
Payment card details are collected and processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record), not by us; we never see or store your card number.
3. Why we use it (and our legal basis)
- To provide the service — linking partners, storing answers, and generating your results (performance of a contract).
- To deliver purchases — recording that a session's report has been unlocked (performance of a contract).
- Security and fraud prevention — protecting sessions and the service (legitimate interests).
- Product improvement — understanding aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns (legitimate interests).
- AI reflections — if you explicitly consent, both partners' names, ratings, and written reflections are sent to our AI provider solely to generate the requested reflections. Nothing is sent without your consent, and the AI provider does not retain the data after responding (consent).
- Legal obligations — keeping records where the law requires it.
4. Who we share it with
- Service providers — hosting, database, and AI-processing providers that operate the service on our behalf, under contract.
- Paddle — our Merchant of Record, which processes payments, handles tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting advisers where needed.
- Authorities — where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Our service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
6. Retention
We keep session and assessment data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time (for example, for AI processing). You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. We respond to requests within one month. To exercise any right, contact us via the support contact shown on your Paddle receipt.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit and strict access controls — to protect your data. Assessment answers are only accessible server-side; other visitors cannot read them.
9. Cookies
Clarity Compass uses only essential cookies and storage needed to operate the service (for example, keeping your place in an assessment). We do not use advertising or third-party marketing cookies.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this notice from time to time; the "last updated" date above shows the current version. Questions can be sent to Advacap Technologies, LLC via the support contact shown on your Paddle receipt.
